how is the propper method to take the steering wheel off?mine is loose,it can be shaken,so i figure,maybe it needs tightening up,or possibly replacing,also why the hell are you supposed to punch it with a hammer?thanks

you remove it by taking the horn push off, then undoing the 24mm nut

I doubt its the actual wheel loose on the column.

more likely teh actual column bushs/ uni joint is worn, I know mine is and its going to be push/scrap if it makes its next MOT.

a whole new column is £££
