Hey,

not to sure where to post this, but i was wonderin if it is possible when i flash someone and my beams come on, can i wire it so my fogs also do the same when i flash?

its a mk1 (60 sx)

Thanks in advance

So do I...you're only legally allowed your fogs on when it is......wait for it.....FOGGY. Technically you can be done for having them on at any other time or when visibility is good enough to drive without them.
Also flashing your lights is ONLY permitted to warn other road users of your prescence....and TBH...if a shot of the full beam doesn't work you're probably gonna get hit by them anyway

which will then insure you hit them, or let them out and then they drive into the other side of the road :D

flashing fogs is not a clever idea.

get a pair of horns from an audi (dual tone in the same place, wheras punto has two sometimes of same tone on each side), then wire them in (simple).

if they don't listen and look then they deserve a crashin

tooting horns is also illegal and just as distracting as your ears can't tell where the sound has come from (at least flashing lights you can see where it has come from) i pipped a driver in a driving lesson when i was learing and got told that would fail you.

i wired my fogs with a ring wiring kit so i just spliced into the correct loom running under the slam panel. there you can pick what wire you want as the trigger for the relay. have you got standard wiring to your fogs?

so whats the horn for then.

when some prck pulls out infront of me flashing lights doesn't help as it appears in this country flashing your lights seemst to mean 'oh please pull out infront of me' however in EVERY other country in the world it means move or be moved.

so I pile on the horn, otherwise they would never know they nearly caused an accident as they carry on regardless of the world around them

Juts quickly press in and out your fog light button.

Thats what ive done in the past.

ya'll forgot the poor fella only wanted to know if it was possible to wire his fogs to his hi-beam..,lol
Fu*k it, if he gets into trouble its his own fault.,.,.,
Anyway yes you can do it, you'll have to tap into the hibeam wiring loom as raptor said but use a relay rather than just wiring them straight to the hi-beams.,,

I only ever use my fog lights in two situations:
1. if it is foggy (DUH!)
2. if some little metro dwelling chav is right up my a**e (not literally) I blind him with my rear foggies, safer than just slamming the brakes on, plus he slows down what with being temporarily blind and all.

If you wanna flash your main beam and foggies at the same time but your flashing to let somebody out, chances are your gonna get the finger not a thank you. Probably not a good idea.

as smokey joe says,

you will probably blind someone in the dark letting them out, and then they won't be able to see if its clear anyways.

I would much rather spend some cash and get a set of HID's.

can be had for as little as £75 for low beams only (all you need!! just think how many times in your average day do you use full beams?)
