Hi,

Every so often the gearbox (transmission) cup pops out.

For some reason the cup moves about 1cm out of the differential, oil leaks out and the cup becomes disengaged from the satelite inside differential.

When this happens, the car cannot drive. The power is not transmitted to the wheels as the cup is loose - not engaged with the gearbox.

Initially I thought that the engine may not be correctly positioned, i.e. moved to far on one side (left in my case looking from the front of the car).

I did move it towards right in order to reduce the play space of the right wheel shaft but it is only partial solution.

The cup still pops out, about 5mm now, but it stays engaged.

The down side is the gearbox oil leakage. The cup moves out far enough from the differential housing and the seal.

How to make sure cup stays fully inserted and won't pop out? It seems like the cup is loose by design and its position is not fixed? Am I wrong?

Thx for any help you might have,
Peter
