Please, please, please help.
My punto has gone crazy! My heating fan has stopped working, not such a big
problem I hear you say, however, when turning the fan on it turns the
sidelights on! The lights can still be turned on, by the arm on the steering column.I have checked the fuses and all ok.

And yet more problems…. the Engine light has also decided to come on the display. I looked in my hand book and it says it is probably due to the engine emissions.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Big thank you in advance.
Does anyone know how this can be fixed?

Is it an MK2? The engine light thats on your dash could be caused by the fan too its known to bring lights up on the dash as well might not be though but about your fan though turning on the lights all i know that its an 4 or 5 way connector (thick black wire is the problem one) sometimes it hangs loose sometimes it has a clip on it and clipped to heater fan box... Its up behind the glovebox at far left pull the connector apart and chancesare the terminals for the earth connection are melted sometimes they are so bad you cant disconnect the connector..

Yes it is a MK2

Thanks for your suggestion, i will check on the weekend and let ya know.

Ta very much
