Just fitted new boot light but it wont come on, uses same fuse as map light which works fine. Confused !!!

I think you need to fit the boot light and the switch. And the Boot Lid Harness. At least you do on the Mk1...

Hey mate,
the light should come straight on wen you open the boot, if uv put the connector on the right way. I never had a boot light either so i wired in some neon wire instead and that comes on wen the door is open and goes off when its closed.
Check you've wired it in correctly and play with the black lug next to the boock lock cos it cood just be stiff.
