just been quoted £50:40 plus VAT for a new standard steel wheel for my Mk1 punto, my old wheel was leaking air out of the side and going flat within a day or so and the space saver is somewhat annoying.

Does anyone know of anywhere in Manchester that I could pick up a wheel cheaper?

Also whats the script with the two spikes the go through the wheel? How do you go about fitting alloy wheel wheels with those on?

1) scrapyard, a 13 or 14" steel rim in good nick with a tyre of some sort on (put your old tyre on so it matchs the otehr side) = £5-8

2) the spikes come off, 10mm spanner i believe, they are just there to help you locate the steels on easily. factory fiat alloys also fit quite niclely with the spikes in place. however aftermarket alloys you will have to remove them
