Water is getting into the driver's footwell of my Mk 2 Punto. Can anyone advise me how it might be getting in, and a possible fix?

Looks Like U might have a pin hole under your car. It happened to my mates car. Where he had gone over some speed bumbs it scraped the underprotecter and he had to get a new 1. The only cost like 50 quid. And they are not hard to fit either. Just take a look under your car and see if you can see any scrathes or holes. if so take it to your local body shop and get it repaired. U dont really need a new 1 just put some filler in it. Simple as.

its a known fault with the mk2 you need to take it to fiat and get the bulkhead resealed or summit

Fixed my gf's Rover 114gsi which had same problem, turned out being a valve was filled with gunk from the ventilation system and hence water wasn't being lead the way it should have been from the bonnet air vent but into the footwell. I surprised myself when I fixed it!

Maybe you could check if it is coming through the ventilation system by pouring water around the vent for it.
