I have a Punto Mk2B 1.3 multijet Diesel with an issue.
A while ago a warning light came on saying that the power stearing had malfunctioned but when I switched off the car and restarted, it went away and the power stearing worked. Then the LCD screen lost its data (time, trip distance, mpg etc) when I switched on the engine just reset the time. Both these things have happened a couple of times now but recently I got a bulb failure warning with my rear side light but after a while the bulb would work again and the warning disappeared but today when it went away the car came up with another warning, the fuel injector seems to have an issue but the car seems to pull and accelerate as normal. Have switched off the car and after I switch it on again, after a couple of seconds it reappears. The FIAT garage says it costs £75 to run a diagnostic.
Should I take it to the garage or should I disconnect the battery first to see if that clears the issue (but in doing that will it clear the radio and is it easy to reinput the code again(if needed))? Do you think it is a management issue or a real mechanical one. If it is a management issue, will that hurt the engine?

Should only cost £47 for diagnostics... hmm. Check the battery, you might need a new one. When i first got PAS failure i was told the battery was in 0% state. Once i turned the car on and the time reset. Got a new one, and all fine for 9 months. BUT NOW THE DREADED PAS FAILURE IS BACK AHHHHHHH
