hi, is there anywhere i can get a performance chip for my r reg punto sporting

chipping a N/A petrol engine is fairly pointless unless you have a cam kit fitted, a full exhaust, decent induciton kit, and more money than sense. even with all that you'd still be very lucky to hit 100bhp. dont believe the usual chipping claims, only a tubo can see massive gains, especially a TD.

true, but chipping can make them a bit pokier in the mid range, and whilst its not giving you paper improvements they drive a bit better, sometimes

Punto mk1 1.2 16v 97/98..? chips will only add on about 8bhp maximum the right performance air filter and leads will only add about 10-12bhp if he was getting a performance cam i would advise him to get these first a good induction kit also larger throttle body and a performance chip the mckritch chip can work with the punto 1.2 spi i dunno if yours is that or mpi some ecu's though need to be broken into and others just unscrew the ones that need broken into are sealed units and are soldered you can unsolder them but you have to be REALLY carefull as you can damage the ecu board...
