hi, was jus wonderin how hard it is 2 change the brake pads on a 97 punto? if ne 1 has ne idea please let me no, im fed up of payin buckets of cash for stuff dat i might be able 2 do myself! cheers

You should be able to manage changing the brake pads yourself if you have any common sense and confidence in your ability. Its not hard really, only the rusted up bolts etc should be your problem

cheers, so i take it i jus take of the wheels nd then move on to the brake pads is it? will i hav 2 go 2 fiat dealer or could i get a generic brake pad?

bit more ot it than that as they do actually stop the car
you can get pads from various outlets.
you will need to unbolt the caliper half and remove an anti rattle spring.
not a big job but care needs taken and if you are unsure then pay someone who knows what to do

Not to hard, get yourself a haynes manual and your away.

any motorfactors will have pads for your car, make sure you know the year and the date it was delivered (as in 1998 things get complicated around sepetember with different cars with different brakess)
