I'm 18, I also have a Punto ELX (2000 though), no pass plus, and I'm insured with http://www.ecarinsurance.co.uk. My insurance came to £1222.

Not exactly the same car (mines a mk1 punto) but they were the cheapest I found when I looked about everywhere.
I tried the other links that the above posters gave and they were all more expensive than what I have now with liverpool victioria.
Worth checkin out
TIP: Only get a quote when you know that the system is online, i.e don't get the quotes after 5pm because when I did this I got a much higher quote.

Try the Co-op on http://www.cis.co.uk/ They were £100 cheaper than the best confused.com could come with.

These guys quoted me 960ish for my 1.2 Punto Active (2003), minus tax, I went with them. It was £100 less with pass plus too... confused.com's cheapest quote for me on the same car was £2200

confused.com has always come back to me with daft quotes.
i.e, now 19, nr 20, got 1yrs no claims on my own, and 1yr NC on anothers insurance . for a 98 mk1 1242cc punto I got this years insurance for £740 ish.
last year, it was the same, but I didn't earn a NC year.
according to confused.com the cheapest they can get is more like £2205
what kind of muppet would take that
Just ring around as many places as you can. and if you find a place thats a good price, jot the quote no. down, and get back to them. (I phoned the same place three times (direct line) and got three progressivly cheaper quotes.
£1100, 950, 740:slayer: from the same place, on the same day, then when I went to take the cheapest quote, the girl said the computers had changed again, and the price was now £950. 30mins later, we got the quote back again.
the prices do actually fluxtuate with some of these companies. my theory being they can't afford to give everyone the best quote, so they give a few really good ones to inteise word of mouth etc, and a few bum ones that some people may just go for
