Hey there,
Can anyone tell me the pinout for the connector on the sub in a 2003/Mk2 Punto with a Blaupunkt CD radio? It seems to have three cables for power (red- positive, black- negative and grey- I assume that's taken low/high to power on the sub amp) The power cables seem relatively easy but the other four have me stumped.

Basically I'm bored and so was trying to extract a signal from the cable, the possibility being (royally unprofessional) transferring the audio signal to an amp or larger sub of sorts. It seems to be a pre-out, since the sub has its own amp. I noticed the sub also seems to have dual voice coils; or what looks like two. Is that to do with this four-wire configuration?

Ah cool, that's pretty much all you need to know.. there's no positive or negative as such because the current is alternating all the time.. if I just ensure wiring is the same it should be good. Thanks.

Hi i am from Romania, and i want a sub on my car, punto 2000, 1.2 8V, i have the sub original, but i don't know how to put it on....on that wiers...where from i get the power (from batery?) for amplif.

As far as I know you will have to keep the "phasing" of the speakers the same. ie..the speaker cones need to "push" and "pull" together otherwise it's a crap sound apparently. Legend has it that one good way of checking that the polarity of the cables/speakers is correct is to use a 1.5v battery and use that drive said speaker/s so you can see them push/pull together. :)

in rear a know the + cable and - cable because i put them. + is red and - is black.
But my problem is that 6 cable who enter in subwofer, and i don't konw where came from. (power for amp mean 2 cable + and - ...4 cable from 2 speakers in rear 2 whit + and 2 with -)
I hope u understand what i want to say.
Thanks
