I am in quite desperate need of some new brake pads but there seems to be a wide choice of them available and would rather go for the best not the cheapest. Which ones would people recommend out of:

Tarox Performance
EBC Green Stuff
Red Dot Fast Road
Black Diamond Predator

Could do with some people opinions.

I got greenstuf for my jtd, hardly any black crap on my alloys and it does stop a fair bit better.

They smell of fish though :yuck:

I bought the Black Diamond Predators, but when they didn't fit I had to send them back and get Green Stuff. I'm not sure but I think GS have compatability issues (was told I couldn't use the pads with my Black Diamond discs)

I've got EBC Green pads on the front of my 1.9 jtd and they appear to be much cleaner than the standard ones that were fitted previosuly. I replaced my discs at the same time with some standard EBC ones, rather than changing to the EBC grooved ones as I'm going to sell the car soon.

Agree on the smell too. (Not that you notice when they are on the car. )

The Black Diamond ones smelt of fish too. Think it's just brakes pads in general...
