My Punto 60S is due for a 72k service. Just called to book it in (BS Marsons, Newcastle-under-lyme), was a little surprised at the £238. (half a days work, plus parts - probably oil, filter, plugs, coolant & screenwash)

Do all fiat garages charge the same?

Anybody know the ins and outs of the 72k service?

Wouldnt offer me a courtesy car either cause I didnt buy the car from them. Anybody had any luck with a courtesy car?

Cheers

Hi,

Not sure of the price, but not to offer you a courtesy car is out of order just because you didn't buy the car from them. What happened if you only just moved into the area.

I would speak to the manager and complain it is not a good way to persuade you to come to them when you replace your car. Also I am not sure Fiat would look kindly on this sort of behaviour from their dealers.

Poggy

Bleh, if a 60s has done 72k it's really not worth shelling it out for a full 72k service, especially from bloody Fiat dealers.

Replace as necesasary from an independant where possible.

Spirito di Punto | M-reg 55SX, black, 5dr. Clear repeaters. Remote locking fitted, no light confirmation yet though - need relay fitted

yup, the dealers are a rip off! you'd expect them to do the timing belt as well for that money

Met Cognac 99 Brava 100 HSX, wish it'd clean itself!
