Hello ALL.

Could someone just confirm the gap for a 1.2 8v 2002 51reg with NGK BKR5EZ spark plugs please??? Is it 0.9mm???

Had a look in the Fiat manual, but it doesn't say, just gives the type of plugs to put in. Bought the plugs today, and it doesn't even tell me on the side of the boxes.

Thank you all.

Shaun.

Hello Dave,

Thanks for the reply.

According to the book Fiat hand book, the NGK's are BKR5EZ's. But it doesn't tell me the gap.

The plugs are in, and it started ok, haven't been out in her yet, to see if there is anything wrong!!!

Off to bed right now, good night Dave. Take care.

Shaun.

Nice one Dave. Thank you. ;)

Had a look on NGK site, couldn't find it.

Went out in her today, potters along fine.

Again Dave, thanks for your time. (y)

Take care.

Shaun.

I have just bought some "genuine" Fiat spark plugs for my 1.2 8v Punto. They have "made by champion" printed on them.
As stated earlier the Haynes manual only gives gaps for Bosch FR8 D+ at .8mm or NGK BKR5EZ at .9mm.
Anyone know the gap for champion plugs?
Thanks
Chris

I got the Champions online from Shop4parts along with some other service parts as Shop4parts seemed to get a good review from most people on this forum.
The website did not specify the source of the plugs, just that they were "genuine" Fiat parts.
Are the Champions really that bad?
I am not sure if Shop4parts would take them back, and anyway this would be a hassle and I want to put them in this week-end.
Chris
