Hi
Just about to buy a very nice active sport. Does anyone know what the fuel economy is and what the acceleration is like? Many Thanks

8v or 16v

my 16v does on average 42mpg , long runs i have seen 53mpg

16v acceleration is good between 3-5k it pulls you back, traffic light gp's can be won

didnt know there were 8v and 16v versions. Think its an 8v. Will this be slow to drive or ok? Downgrading from a Cooper S for fuel cost/insurance cost. Going to view it tomorrow

Compared to a Cooper S it will feel slow as ****, but they aren't too bad. Why didn't you get a JTD if you wanted low fuel costs/insurance?

hi all,

Gaz, What happened to your '16v' badge??

By the way mine is a 1.2 16v mk2b and it always without fail averages 41MPG on the trip computer

I would like to know what the actual percentage of 8v and 16v active sport mk2b's there is ?

If anybody knows this this would also be much appreciated.

and gaz, where the hell did u drive to get ur car looking like that!!

:slayer: extreme driving going on there!

cheers,
Steven

mine never had a 16v badge, i took it out for a test drive assuming it was an 8v , had a right shock and had to buy it

was all motorway driving to get it that dirty, at the mo it looks like them pics again

In my 8v i get about 40 to 44 mpg and top speed of 100 out of it was screeming like, i aint doin that to my baby agen, i love mine wish i could of had 16v but never mind for a 18 year old like me it does great and keeps level from lights with my mates fiesta and clio 1.2 16v cars so its nice :D

I have the 16v and i think its pretty good for a 1.2 shocked my mate with his 1.4 corsa and another mate with a 1.8 corsa said he was pretty impressed with the power it gives for a 1.2  i get around 43mpg not so bad,
