got a x-reg punto 1.2 and the steering light has come on and steering gets hard. at the same time the speedo and petrol gauge stop. if i let go off the gas pedal it goes back to normal and steering is fine. read some threads on power steering problems but not sure if it is the actual rack.

anybody got any ideas???
