Hi, want to ask you if I have to change the oil & filter in the automatic gearbox after 40 000 km / 25 000 miles ???

The manual / repair book says YES but in the repair shop they told me that there is a lifetime filling now what ?!

finally had it changed today oil + filter ... and it is supposed to be changed every 40.000 km

what did it cost?

Here in Slovakia 3000 Sk (slovak crowns) = aprox. £ 25 (filter) + £ 18 (oil - 3 liters) + £ 10 for labor ... pretty expensive

cool. mk2 filters are a lot cheaper than on the mk1 then, they have internal filter cost about £100 with gasket
