hey there peeps, jus tlooking for a bit of information on where i can get my car delocked, have the boot smoothed and remove the badges and rub strips. I tried to remove the rubstrips and badges myself and there appears to be some black gunk underneath which won't even come off with a stanley blade, i even tried using boiling water on it, but that failed! Nebody know of a bodyshop in the manchester area who might be able to do this to a good stasndard and for the right price? or even further out, just looking for a good job really!
Also can nebody reccommend any way of doing a few of these mods myself, as i am looking to save as much cash as possible

the black stanley gunk comes of wit a knife and some warm water......but u jus have 2 take sum time, jus make sure u have the will 2 fill in the holes and paint it gen,,,,i found it really fekin annoyin looks nice though :), and as 4 other stuff ur gunna need 2 look around ur area m8

Hiya mate, Dont use a stanley knife as you will scratch your paint, dont use any knife there is no need to. You need to scrape at it with a credit card the rounded edge, it takes ages but its worth it if you dont want to be paying to have the side resprayed coz if the scratches

Sensible mods go far

Hey Mate,
Dont use anything like a credit card or stanley blade as it will def scratch ur paint. Use a hair-dryer to heat the rubbing strip then be brave and pull the rubbing strip off

FIAT!!! It Doesn't Move But It Looks Good!!

you can buy smoothed boot panels of ebay for about £40 i saw one on there 2day

1996 Punto 75 sx, 15" bk166 alloys, lowered 40mm & body coloured bumpers.

Yes - this is the trick - I've watched a mechanic do it in a garage - it takes a bit of time, but the badge / strip / whatever comes of cleanly. (Or at least it did for him!)

Here come da judge...

matey if u want to do it urself u need some glue / tar remover.
get the badge off by putting some floss or somthing and then rub through the glue with the thread. dis way u know there will be no accidental scraping of paint. then get a hair dryer as bhoywonder said and heat it up a little bit then use the glue / tar remove and use gloves and run it into the clue and ul see it just peel off easy peasey . u can get the remover from halford for £4.99 i was gonna do mine untill i crashed it monday:(

there u go matey i even took time and found u da propper instuctions and some illustrations>
