There is a growing list of parts that need fixing or replacing on my car;

Need a new jack, was really stiff and couldnt even turn it at one point but now gets to a certain point and keeps slipping, so i need to get a new jack from fiat (i have a trolley jack but scared of going through the floor, lol)

Took key guard off boot today by heating glue uo and using credit card to peel it off, it came off fine but the bits of glue left when srcaped off took the paint with them si i ended up with a two inch strip around the lock which was bar metal, so had to buy a new keygaurd and stick it on.

The passengers side tweeter housing i cracked when removing the door card to remove bottom speaker housing, need to re-order one from fiat

Alarm is totally silent, when armed the indicators flash three times instad if once, alarm still works though, just indicators flash now though. Checked fuses so might need new audible sensor.

Drivers side door swings freely, needs new strap possibly, it cracked a lot before then stopped cracking but is loose now.

Passengers side seat slides freely, needs fixing not sure what though.

Any advice for solving some of the above problems?

what the hell did you scrape the glue off with?

a Fiat dealer should be able to replace the jack, but being honest that jack is only for emergency use and shouldn't be use for regular maintenance. Another solution is to get a half decent ratchet jack.

The passenger seat may need a new frame, that's a scrappy job.

I have a trolley jack but it says to put under differential, and;

a) im not too sure where this is &

b) i dont want to f**k up the differential

I have just bought a replacment fiat jack on ebay for £10!

There should be 4 metal support brackets under the car, about where the jacking points are. These are to support the car when on those garage ramps, I use those and a block of wood to jack the car up then support the car on the jacking points via axle stand. I've not got an HGT so I don't know exactly where they are.

Just tried to fit trolley jack under the car but the car is too low, lol! I just managed to buy a fiat jack for £10, as i want to lower the car another 20 - 30 mm to make it apporx 80 - 90 mm lowered!

use the fiat jack to get it high enough fro the trolley jack

I'd try to keep away from those scissor-jacks, I hate them! I like the ratchet jacks or those 'micro lift' bottle jacks.

i had exactly the same problem with my alarm, i just disconnected the battery for 1/2 hour, its been fine since.

I have the same problem not too bad but i broke some of the clips :bang: have you tried a scrap yard first
