Just recentley bought punto 60s 1.2, and noticed a burning smell when driving, at first it smelt like burning water, assumed due to the engine being steam cleaned just befor I bought it, but know its smelling more like burning oil, I've check car for any visable oil leaks, cant see any and driveway clean, anybody got any suggestions, may be normal or common problem......any advice PLEASE,

turn the heater off completely and see if it still makes the smell. i have the same problem which was kinda sorted by taking the scuttle panel off (i think that's what it's called) and clearing the drain bits out and the heater seems to draw air from there. you may notice a leak onto the passenger footwell too, that's the water going through the heater.

if that's not it... i dunno what it could be.
