i suspect my rear window winder has come off the track, or something, as when i turn the winder, nothing happens. the window comes slightly down, but then wont go back up unless i actually force the window up.

using the haynes manual i can strip the inner door down, until i get to the actual handle. the haynes manual covers the front doors which are electric, and states that the rear is similar!!! but they're now! it doesnt say how to get the handle off, and so the only thing holding the inner panel on it the handle. there aren't any screws or anything to get it off. it's driving me insane.

any ideas how i can get it off? so i can attempt to see what the problem is inside?

oh & it's an S reg old shape... if that helps at all. =)

there is a clip shaped like a horse shoe between the handle and round plastic ring called the escution,I think .from the round hold on bit of the handle, at the top say,get a flat screw driver and push the clip down,put your hand under the handle to catch the clip,once winow is sorted push clip on to handle from bottom to the turn bit.
