Hi all,

Engines running a bit lumpy on my punto 1.2 60s since i replaced the head gasket, and i recall one of the spark plugs being black when all the others were greyish, what's the best way to check the plugs, leads and coil packs to see if there's any faults anywhere?

I read on another thread about unplugging each lead in turn while the engine is running, i'm guessing it's the coil pack end of the lead that i should pull out?

Whilst i'm posting, the car's been on the drive for about 8-9 months now so is there anything in particular i should check before i try and get it an MOT?

I've checked over the main points using the Haynes manual, fitted new brake discs and pads as the last ones had binded and corroded, and stuck some redex in the petrol tank, just wondering if there's anything else?

Thanks in advance!

James
