My car is already 4 years old and I think it is time to change the shock absorbers. Kindly recommend what brand to use or what to look for when selecting the new absorbers. Thank you.

magnetti morrelli dampers from shop4it website seem to be pretty good, they usually do them on a half price offer aswell

are they leaking? 4 years is not old for shocks

yeah but speedbumps thesedays wreck suspension in no time.

i.e my car has lived in a quiet town with only four speedbumps most of its life, (7years), THEN I moved to uni in sunderland, where no matter which way I go there are 36speedbumps or more between me and uni, EACH WAY!!

my first lot of dampers that were original last about a month, then they were all finished.
then the replacements did in about january this year, replaced fronts cos they were really bad, and now the rears have gone again.
took it to quickfit to do it because they have a 'no quibble' 2yr replacement warrenty, and after only 2months I went back and they wouldn't honour it because of the number of speedbumps in my area.
took it to council and they told me that if I didn't want to wear my car out I should use the 'amble' public transport. which there isn't, not the way I go.

got magnetti morrelli's now, fitted myself adn already lasted twice as long as teh shte that quickfit sold me
