hi this morning I wanted to change my chip of origin by a mcrich performance chip. My chip of origin is welded, therefore I unsoldered it then I welded a support of chip then I pose my new chip:bang: . I replug all the car does not start, I puts my old chip and it does not start:bang: . What can i do? did my ecu die?
The indicator of the key code does not ignite with starting.
I specify that my model is: FIAT punto mk1 1l2 spi 8v 60 1997
thanks for replying

TBH i would suspect oyu have damaged the ECU motherboard on the desoldering.its very easy to overheat a motherboard desoldering or even lift a trace if your not careful

Gaudeloupe is in Europe  :D
i was referring more to costs than areas.easier to source locally.

to the original post closely inspect the motherboard around where you soldered/desoldered. look for broken traces and if oyu have a multimeter try and check continuity from the chip pins and trace to a termination point.

hello it is good I have a new ECU 1L2 spi not soldered chip. Not to make a mistake give me the exact step has to carry out for the connection (disconnection battery? Lit contact?)
