Technical head gasket please all look

how to changed head gasket whats needed and how long will it take and how to tell if the heads need skimming. once the rocker cover is removed can you just remove the manifolds then lift the whole block with all the valves in how do you un bolt the block and how do you retighten with all that 90 degree thing and a orber thingy what is it all lots of help please coolant is leaking from my engine is this head gasket cos it looks like it

take a look at the cinquecento technical(i know you have a punto) for info on head gaskets,basicaly to remove the head it is just a case of lifting the head(inc. valves) out after unbolting everything connected to it.you need a torque wrench to tighten the bolts and may need to buy new head bolts if they are 'strech' bolts.when you take the head out you can check it with a straight edge(any metal flat bar will do if it is straight) and lay it along the face of the head to see if it is warped.if you are handy with the spanners you can do it in a day (excluding skimming) if its your first i would set aside at least a weekend and be prepared for something going wrong like a siezed manifold bolt.also while you are doing the head do the coolant/themostat/timing belt etc since you have it all stripped down anyway

defently use new bolts, I would get it skimmed any way only about £30 Don't use fiat parts use after market, first stage of tightening you use a torque wrench second and third stages you just tighten another 90 degresse then do it again, in the correct order like it says in haynes manual. use breaker bar for the second third stages.. you can get an angle gauge for £5 (best) or make one using a bit of paper.
Buy a timming belt kit not just a timming belt then you get a new tenshioner bearing as well.
Don't use any sealent. make sure both surfaces are perfectly clean and greese free,
