sum1 help me! i am putting a new cd player into my mk2 but the surrounding fascia won't actually clip in to the dash bit! has ne1 else ahd this problem?

When I replaced the standard cassette player on my mk2 last summer I remember it being a bit difficult getting the fascia on but after a good shove it clicked into place

i've given ti a gd shove and nuffin ahppens lol. also i can't get the cd player to slide into place or click in! the wires are stopping it from going all the way back did u hav problems with this aswel?

I did initially have problems with the wiring getting back in. However, after some careful flexing of the cable so that it took up less space I managed to get the CD player in nicely. I can move it side to side so it's not a tight fit but it won't jiggle about by itself when the car is in motion so it's fine

wiring is anightamre there is hardly any room back there.

my fascia only just clipped in but stereo and cage held it in the stereo was a hard fit. took a coulple of goes to get it all in there.

yeah i just figured that out. its all in place now didn't think it would take as long as it did. cheers guys
