do the electric window switches light up or are they glow in the dark arrows? I've fitted my electric windows yesterday, but the lights seem to be on on the switches permanently...

permanent live... didn't have a relay kicking around

Thats why there lit all the time then

I have powered mine off the ignition live. Use this as it wont drain the battery as much and also less chance of getting broken into as its not a permanent supply

Dont need a relay just tap into the orange wire out of the ignition switch

ah just thought it was wierd...

with taking it off the ignition, is there enough current for the windows to work (i.e. won't blow anything up...)

Yes I am running mine off the ignition live (orange wire)

What fuse are you using? This will be dependant on whether they will work off the igntion live or not

I'm running an inline fuse-30amp as it says in the haynes, powered off th ignition live

Works fine for me, and less easy to be broken into

come on with the sidelights normally
