This is what the local mechanic at Mr Vardy's told me when my car went in for another problem.

Says it just sucks in costant cold air messing with the fuel.

I always thought that was the whole point of one is it not????

He takes his off in winter because it does more bad than good.....

Whats the take on here of this latest bumf???

I put a K&N on my Punto 55SX in the summer, and the engine starts and runs fine even when it's below zero.
I had to disconnect the hot-air feed from exhaust manifold to airbox (as it no longer needs an airbox!) but this hasn't made the slightest difference to how the engine runs when cold.

i had a bit o a prob we my K&N was ok in summer but on the first few realy cold mornings it cut out then the revs started to hop up n down did this for a while but slowly got better n now its ok !

A girl phoned me the other day and said, 'come on over; nobody's home." I went over. Nobody was home.

ye thats what i thought. as every EFI car i have fitted a kit to has done something sim! now 3 yrs l8r its running fine but uses so much fuel in winter ! thought about puting the air box back on 4 a bit! (but it runs well fast we the cold air n the extra fuel!)

A girl phoned me the other day and said, 'come on over; nobody's home." I went over. Nobody was home.

my induction kit sucked in water and blew the head gasket. there's nowhere for the water to go except the engine, unlike the manafacturers airbox setup. i'd take it off till the summer!
