hi im in desperate need of a punto mk2 metalic silver bonnet, preferably from 2000 (w) but would consider any if they are metalic silver, must be in perfect condition although light scratching doesnt matter.

just get one painted, chances are rather high it wont match and you will end up painting!

i got bumped in a car park while i wasnt there and its just a small dent but everyone wants £400 to repair it so aslong as its a half decent match it would be my best way to go at the moment, been told if i get it sprayed the wings and bumper will have to be sprayed or misted to blend it in thats why it is so expensive, or unless anyone knows any garage in manchester that will do somthing for me?

Have you tried a Scrappy (Not Doo)?

A copy bonnet which would fit fine in the right hands is 55, only the bonnet will need painting if someone decent does it, and around 60-80 should see that done. Why paint the wings, silver doesnt blend it shadows, any good painter knows that!!!!

I have had no luck in 5 years colour matching panels, always need painting.

had a look in scrappys no luck! i can get a bonnet for £68 plus vat, how much would it cost to be sprayed?

hi as above 60-80 inside and out, dont let any muppets do any wing/bumper blending, if it doesnt match they havent painted it right, simple!

You will get a bonnet cheaper than that, i pay 54 inc vat, (although i get alot of discount)

so i should get a bonnet and have it painted, the bonnet say on average £60 and the painting of it £60?
the bonnet is slightly raised on the side it was hit, could this be the mounts or the bonnet?
if its the mounts what should i do?

Most likely just bellowed, there a flexi skin so the slightest damage they bend up.

I would certainly get a new bonnet, get it primered and painted, its a W-reg car you will only de-value it with odd panels to save a few pennies.

ok will do, its going in for a part ex and this happend the other day so having a nightmare so need to get it done asap. do you think i should leave it or get a new bonnet etc? will it drastically decrease its value if i leave it?

defo get it done for the sake of sub 150 it will make or brake your car.

When you go for your replacement car would you buy one with the bonnet mashed in??? nope! so you will get alot less than 150 off the value of it!
