Styling Dash Light Change

does anyone no how hard (or easy) it is to replace the lights behind the dashboard? I aint very font of the orange glow and ive heard of someone that done it on the net but cant remember where!! Also wot kinda bulbs they use as i fancy a blue or maybe red tint

Mk2 are SMD and will be a bastard to change and will involve taking the dash pod apart.

Mk1...
Standard dials produce the colours so it doesn't matter what colour the bulbs are. If you get aftermarket dials you can then change the bulbs for any colour you like.
