Hey i know there is not a Haynes manual for a Mk2b punto and was wondering if the Mk2 punto Haynes manual is adequate for a Mk2b punto as i would have thought the two cars are pretty much mechanically identical?

I would say they're the same in most area mechanically, depending on what engine you've got. Suspension maybe different, think the mkrB sits higher than the mk2, but all the basics should be the same (how to change spark plugs, fit new clutch etc).

most things are the same and as trooper points out they have different suspension set up (depending on model), and I think the speedo pod is updated on the 2b but the haynes doesn't tell anything about that anyway, just how to disconnect it.
