Anyone know how long a Punto battery will last ?
Mine is over 6 years old. Car has done 92,000 miles.

Spent some time investigating this on the Net. From the information that I found it would seem that if your battery is over 4 years old it is living on borrowed time.

A 45Ah Marelli battery on my Panda lasted for "only" two years and an half...maybe it was an unfortunate one[:0][?]

My punto is 5 years old and not had a new battery I don't think. in the morning when it's cold my car won't start on first try. It starts on second time but resets my clock and trip info I think I need a new battery.

my puntos original battery seems to have lasted for 5 years, spent a few months sitting in a garage etc before it died, so they last a good while if looked after

I bought my 2000 W reg Punto in January '05 from auction. The battery looked to be the original and was trashed completely when i went to pick the car up next day, so i'd say it was about 4 1/2 years old.
The weird shape of the batery means that i was unable to fit a standard £25 battery from the Motor Factors, and had to get the model specific item at nearly twice the cost which pissed me off a little.....

Try owning a diesel... Battery is twice the size to begin with.

My 1988 Y10 is on its 3rd battery, that is over 10 years old it's a GM Freedom battery - they do have a reputation for long life. mileage is 102000.

my fiat battery lasted 3 and half years. got bosch 4 year garentee one now
