The light output from my MK1 55S headlamps is rubbish they look OK clear reflectors, glass clean connectors OK. Tried some of those cheap Xenon bulbs from ebay still rubbish just blue-er. probably ordinary halogen bulbs with a blue filter. Would more expensive bulbs be worthwhile? Alternative is lights from more upmarket model. Don't really want to pay more than I bought the car for fancy units (angel eyes etc.) any ideas please.
My Y10 has single reflector lights & they are excellent Punto seems a real backwards step!

Could be the "silvering" inside the lamps gone/worn/dulled hence not projecting much light. Ive had to change a couple for customers.

Any idea what make your lamps are???

Try the Bosch Xeon lights. They are indicated on the box by a little red circle. The reflectors could be dulled but you can get around that by just throwing more light at it for now.

I'll give them a try, gotta be better than these crappy thing I got on ebay they claim 60% more output more like 60% of original output! my reflectors are good nice & shiny.

Near me Halfords had a buy one get one free on Xenon bulbs. The Ultra Bright 60% extra ones i bought are very good.. lights r alot more brighter, and i can see alot without full beams :D
