Unfortunately the car was driven over a 'plastic bag' that turned out to be solid concrete. It went just left of centre and knocked the engine/gearbox casing and crushed a ?roll bar? clamp; and dislodged the handbrake cable at the rear clamp. All this actuated the Fuel cut-off switch, so it wouldn't restart. Having eventually realised this and checked there was no fuel leak, we reset the switch, the car started but the eobd amber light is on continually.
We will take it to a dealer, but with Xmas nearly here I wonder how safe it is to drive in the meantime. Any ideas about a possible cause of the light being on? Apparently the wipers actuated at the time (but it could have just been the jarring I suppose).
Any advice appreciated. Thanks.
UPDATE: The lambda sensor may have had a knock, but it was only after making sure all the fuses/relays in the black control box were properly seated, that a restart let the light go out!
