I appreciate that this has probably been posted before but I can't find anything which really matches it in the search results.

I have a 1999 Punto, I've just had the Head Gasket replaced after hearing water 'running' in the dashboard vicinity and being told it was 'just an air pocket'.. I've also just had to replace the shock absorbers too.

I complained to the garage when I took it in about the idling being really lumpy and the car appearing to jump when in motion, they told me there was nothing wrong with it after I took it back again, this morning however I set off and the car just died in the middle of the road even though I had driven, it didn't stall but it just sat there for about 30 seconds until I had reved it and got it going again. When driving normally it feels as if I'm driving through glue too, it just hasn't been right since the HG incident.

I know this is less than technical (!) but I have no idea what it is and am so sick of taking it to the garage every week. Could this be connected to the head gasket repairs in any way??
