I have a Punto 16v, and had to change the admission, (plastic water connection for the heater matrix broke)
I noticed that there is a lot of black sooth around the valves.

Should I just leave it be, or is there a way to clean it a bit without disassembling the engine? Like spraying it with brake cleaner?
It doesn't look too good, but I don't want to make it worse by attempting to clean it.

those are intake valves? They shouldn't be so dirty, how much blow by does your engine produce? Try installing a catchcan, injectors spray fuel on the intake valves so they should clean itself after the blow by problem is solved.

Try doing an "italian tune up" but tbh I wouldn't try to clean it with break cleaner, if the carbon buildup drops into the cylinder you can have much bigger problems

I am not sure about the blow by but it does burn a bit of oil.

Anyone knows what this is? I was thinking it could be a ground point. But it seems a bit like a sensor?

It's the knock sensor your looking at. Should really get some wiring tube going around there to protect the wires.

Thank you.
Yes I remove a bit of the plastic conduit that was around the reverse light switch, and put it there.

I don't know what an italian tune up is

In any case, about the blow by, I reved up the engine, and I don't notice a high increase in the air coming out of the cart positive ventilation. Actually it seems higher when idling then at 1800 rpm.

Yeah the oil level seems to drop a bit to fast. I got maybe 7000 km and the oil got below minimum. I am using what fiat recommends, 10W-40.
