i have this issue that keeps coming and going not knowing what it is or where to look for ,
while driving with out of a sudden the engine cuts off ,
and when i try to start it again i get these symptoms
engine stalling -jerking
rpm revving in 1000 to 1500 constantly
no acceleration what so ever
and engine cuts off again ,

i changed sparks
air filter
fuel pump
sparks coils
spark leads
oil and oil filter

but no luck and it keeps coming back
scanned for errors
i got
stepper motor error code keeps writing after clearing
any help would be appreciate fellow fiatters and puntoors ,
one last thing if i may ,
i had the fiat punto workshop iso application manual but i lost all my data
i can not find on the site again ,
if anyone have a link for please add it here

If your diagnostics gives a stepper motor error code, that seems like a good place to start! I don't know much about car engines, but I'm quite good with search engines, and if you search for stepper motor punto 1.2 on this forum you'll find a number of useful posts, including a detailed description of how to replace a throttle body. It is suggested that a second-hand throttle body is better value than trying to fix a stepper motor.
