My punto has just failed its MOT on the front brake flexi-hose being twisted. I took it to another garage to get it repaired but was told they are supposed to be installed that way. I am now stuck in an argument between the 2 garages on who is right. I have not had any work done on the brakes up until now so the flexi-hoses have been twisted since i bought the car (brand new incidentaly) from the garage who has failed the MOT.

Should they have a twist in them?
