Hi all,
Have a 19 year old punto mk2 8 valve 151k miles.
Plugs are dry and sooty,car is misfiring,do the map sensors fail over time?
the misfire was barely noticable a few months ago ,now car is undrivable.
no warning lights on dash.
Should i buy new sensor.

I told you that at #2 in your other thread, it's a lot cheaper than the coils and leads, but get an original one, not a "cheap" chinese one they are known to be no good.

When i got the car tested for nct there was slight misfire.
It failed on the emmisions as follows
low idle co 0.03vol% pass
high idle 2770 rpm CO 0.50VOL% MAJOR FAIL.
any ideas why it failed so bad on high idle
