Looking for some advice on punto 2005 DN05UMR
Cant get it to move off my drive atm and Im not a mechanic but I have fixed a few problems before from advice on here so all help is appreciated if it will save me some cash.

The problem I think is the clutch. When I press the pedal down it has little resistance, this problem did happen over night my gears would just gradually go into gear 3 or 4 and I wouldn't even need to lift my foot off the pedal for it to start moving. I tried double clutching but now thevehicle is stuck on my drive I cant seem to get it into any gears. They just don't go in, the car almost stalls when trying to go into gear 1 and grinds on the reverse gear.

lower down between the battery and the engine there is a lever between the gearbox and engine. If you push down on the clutch pedal that lever should move about 4cm. Get somebody to push the pedal while you look at what happens. You can just about see that lever under all of the wires and pipes and stuff.

Sounds like there is a problem between the clutch pedal master unit and the slave unit that pushes that lever.

This clutch is onit a hydro system not cable does this make a difference?
