Hello everyone,

In my grandpa's workshop i found an old unopened unico filter LI 7100/4.
I cant seem to find any specifications for it online so does anyone reckon if it could fit on a 1.2 8v punto? My moms one is due for an oil change so if i can find some use for it hey why not.

A quick search suggests that’s for the older mk1 punto, didn’t say it was compatible with a any newer punto so no.

Plus oil filters are dirt cheap so always worth buying a new one

Looks like its for an Alfa 168 3.0 V6 according to this website?
Not too sure if if would fit. Have a MK2B 1.2 8V and this one looks nothing like the spare I have in the garage, though without checking the dimensions, wouldn't like to confirm or deny.

Yeah i agree but my way of thinking is if i have this filter, why not use it if it fits? Its unopened and i dont think im gonna find a punto 1 any time soon to work on.

I've found a filter of the same dimensions (UFI 23.196.00) that apparently fits the punto 2. The only real difference is the bypass valve opening values. The unico opens at 1.2 bar while the UFI one opens at 1.0 bar. Im not quite sure if that would affect anything.
