Hi,
I have found a leak of coolant under my mk2 punto.
It seems to be dripping very slowly from the water pump area.
Wouls a seal be gone in the pump?
Thanks,
tony

Could be the pump. Could also be the coolant pipe at the back of the pump. The o-ring perishes and coolant dribbles out over the oil filter.

I have just had the same issue. I left it for a few days then my water pump went spectacularly...(I'll attach a pic) check millage since last timing belt and pump change. (70k miles max I'd say, open to corrections on that) ... If that was recent it could just bee the seal s the other chap stated..... Get it checked as if the spool on the pump explodes like mine did water come out uicker than you can top it up and your engine will over heat, risking cracking the block...

some people are still on their first pump put in by fiat
That pump is 15 years old and you are suppose to change them with timing belt so I'm not too sure what your point is

The joy of the 1.3mjd is that the water pump was separate running off a belt, so easy to change, cheap to get the garage to replace and if it seizes worst case it takes out an aux belt.

If it’s a slow drip, it may well be the seal has started leaking, worth monitoring over a week or two exactly how much you’re losing, top it up, leave it a week, then carefully measure how much you need to add to top it back up again.
