Is it the 65A rated one ?

Most available on the internet are up to 06/02. For alternators after this change point specifications are variable and prices significantly higher. Will the earlier/cheaper ones fit ?

60 / 65 / 70amp alternators variations with the same bolt setup are all same

All 8v use same setup from the fire range

Whats making u say alternators dead?

Many thanks Ziggy. Not an electrical mal-function but a bearing is making quite a lot of noise and I think it is going to let go sometime fairly soon.

Are all the electrical connections the same ? So will one from the earlier pre change point (up to 06/02) do it ?

Im under the impression they didnt change

I've got a MK2B and this is off the sticker on the Alternator that I swapped out last year.

ok it was the 70A rated one. I purchased a new 65A one and fitted it for £56.76 delivered
