My Punto 1.9JTD 85 it will be remap for Eco mode 15bhp+ and 49lb/ft+ next week because I want to gain few more MPG. My MPG figure from 1.9 is not great only managed the best 52.3MPG out of 57 factory official,

Will the OEM clutch can handing the power or it require a stage 1 clutch kit?

I do not know if clutch has been change because I was the owner start at 87,000, now it is 125,000 miles

If driven sensibly it should hold out (assuming 50/50 driving)
Trouble is - saying how long a clutch lasts by mileage is bogus....

A city stop start car will destroy a clutch way faster then a car that sits on motorway all day....

Having a remap done tho and increasing power will show up weakness's
A worn clutch will show its head alot earliee

My summary of the situation is this, it’s more than likely not had a clutch, but if it is old and worn it may need one In the not too distant future.

If you plan to remap the car and use it longer term and you’re clearly giving consideration to the condition of the clutch and it’s longevity then set some money aside, get the remap done, if you find the clutch is fine then you’ve not lost anything, if the clutch dies after 10,000 miles chances are you’ve knocked a few miles off it’s life, but you anticipated that and you can have a better clutch installed at that point.

Basically what ever you do is going to be fine if you’re planning to keep the car for a couple of years or more.
