I'm gonig to be purchasing a set of 16" / 6.5J FOX RACING 3 EVO (titanium) + 195/40 tyres for my mk1 punto.

I had a look at http://www.rtecshop.com/?p=fitment

...and they had these specs for the punto mk1.

Offset
30...38

C-Bore
58.0

Could you tell me what these numbers mean? Are these alloys made to these specifications anyway?

Do I need to know those specs to buy those alloys?

The place your getting the wheels from should work it all out for you.

But to tell you what the numbers mean:

PCD = the distance between the bolt holes.
Offset = the measurement from the hub to the centre of the alloy.
Centre bore = the size of the hole in the back of the wheel that fits onto the hub.

Most Fiats are PCD 4x98 and Centre bore 58.0

For your car the offset should be between 35 and 38.
