Hi all,
I'am getting on a Punto MK2 / 16V a misfire on Cil3 and a P0303 error code read from ODBD. The engine error led on the dashboard "flashes" when the car has to "pull" e.g. when accelerating when not accelerating the engine error led goes off.
I've swapped the spark plug, swapped the ht lead but still get the misfire.
Even with the sparkplug out the cilinder against the car I do not get spark on #3 . Other cilinders spark I tried to get #4 off the coil and got electric shocks from the car (may be not that healthy at all!!!)
The wierd thing is that it is only #3 that does not spark else I did think it would be the coil. It is the coil with 4 HT leads on it not to confuse with the double coil on the 8V Punto. I've found here on the forum how tho check the coil and found in the Hainess manual the HT leads should be between 6.83 and 7.83 ohm and the primary winding should be 0.52-0.62 ohm.
Any ideas welcome...
