2006 1.28v petrol. Tried adaptive reset on my registered Multiecuscan essentially to see what happened. Well it flashes the mil and no amount of revving 3 times will cancel it. Now trying to redo the ‘text’ it responds failed to execute incorrect conditions to run test. Mot now about to expire and unless I can sort this it will become essentially scrap. Mailed Yani but no response as yet I believe I’ve read every on line post about this to no avail. Anyone have an idea? Disconnected the battery for 2 hours nope didn’t work. No fault codes car runs fine otherwise

No issues with car just wanted to see what happened. Executed the phonic wheel and reset as well trying to do the tests/resets again returns an on screen message “unable to execute. Conditions incorrect to run test “ had maybe hoped there was a way to turn the mil on and then off via the software in case it had stuck/ frozen but nope

you know you have to be cruel with the revs on a phonic dont you?
i once was messing with mes and put the light on i managed to extinguish it though by going through the multiscan features
unfortunately it must be near 4 years now since i fired multi up so i cant remember what i did
are you sure cambelt not flappy by the way? noisy idler?

Thanks cambelt and idler are fine will give it another go later today when temp improves from its current -5

Well it looks like she’s going for parts. I he offside rear shock absorber needs replacing but the top bolt is seized solid and the lower is seized with about 10mm of thread still to come out. Local indie who I trust cannot get them to move and is concerned the lower bolt will snap so with the flashing mil I can’t justify spending more on her. The car itself is otherwise in great condition.. am away next week but then she’ll be on autotrader for spares @£200
