Need to Find a Good technician for my Punto in the Midlands who know them inside out

Punto Man, Rugeley, 01889 579731, or 07976 770490. Ex Fiat, highly trained and knowledgeable, we use them for all work on my Qubo, and all work on both Daughters Puntos. Tell them Peter recommended them..........PS, don't be put off by the yard/workshop, they only rent it, and yes they also break Puntos.

Thanks for that but their google reviews look abit hit and miss if the reviews are genuine.

They can be a bit hit & miss, and that's from someone in the trade. Pete who runs it is generally ok but is unable to speak without spacing every word with an f word.

What is it you need doing??

If its an F'in service..

You might be in luck ;)

How come nobody could come up with the name of the central brum place?

Used to get mentioned a lot on here.

Power steering light is coming on at full lock, radiator leaking

To be straight..

There isnt any financial benefit to paying garages for such tasks..

Paying .. .£400 for these tasks is the value of most mk2's

The rad is an hours work..may as well do the thermostat at the same time..
Another 10 mins.

Refilling and bleeding..

Fill to within an inch of neck of sighttube.

Run until HOT..SYPHONING OUT the extra.
Job done.

Then keep an eye on levels for next few hours..as it will chase out small pockets of air..

Is the free version of multiecuscan ok to use would this pick up any steering fault codes plus could I use a cheap scan tool from ebay? with this software

MES is good.
Ive had the €50Version on my laptop for so long I cannot recall the basic versions limitations ..

It may be.. you can read steering codes.. but cannot drive: modify any parameters.

No direct experience.. but those in the know dont recommed phone :wireless connections.
