hi guys,
When I was doing some maintenance on my punto, I've noticed that perhaps I have a very small leak of diesel fuel (I could smell it, an the area is covered by a smelly and oily black dust). I've also noticed that sometimes I could smell diesel fuel standing near the car, on its left side.
I don't think it's a big leak, because I never saw spray or drop of fuel in the engine or on the ground.

Do you know if there are knowns problems and how to resolve them?

My intention is to avoid changing the high pressure pump (obviously if it doesn't cause safety issue), because I have to change the car anyway (due to anti-pollution restrictions)
